Robert Pattinson’s Painful Childhood

2010.03.10

Despite his worldwide superstar status, Robert Pattinson had to take his lumps as a child just like the rest of us.

The “Twilight” stud told press he used to be the target of many a bully’s aggression.  “I got bean up by a lot of people when I was younger.”

He continued, “I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked.  I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me.”

As for his rapport with the ladies, Rob lamented, “I don’t even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date. Like, just went up to them and that’s the first thing I did… I tend to hold back.”

Kellan Talks Bikini Waxes, But Not AnnaLynne

2010.03.10

Although Twilight Saga werewolf Taylor Lautner accompanied Kristen Stewart to the Oscars on Sunday, Twilight vampire Kellan Lutz isn’t willing to admit the werewolves are gaining popularity.

When asked whether werewolves are the new vampires during Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Male Awards held recently, the 24-year-old actor who plays Robert Pattinson’s brother in the series cracks jokes.

“Can a werewolf even be a vampire?” he says. “Would that be some crazy hybrid that sucks blood and gets all hairy? That would be interesting. I don’t think I could make a sexual fetish with a big, hairy dog. I don’t think I’d be turned on.”

He adds, “For me, vampires are mysterious in a sexy, dominatrix way. A werewolf? I don’t like when my dog sheds on me – I don’t think I’d like kissing a hairy, mustached girl. Maybe when she’s in her normal form, great, but not like vampires. We don’t transform into a winged beast.”

Hm, does he require Brazillian waxes for the ladies in his life?

“I don’t care what they do,” Kellan says. “I’m more attracted to who they are to be honest. That gets you through the door, seeing the face and being attracted to someone, but I don’t know for you guys, but I usually don’t see everything else until later on. The face is what draws you in, and then you learn who they are. It’s steps. It really doesn’t matter.”

HOT GALLERY: THE VAMPS WITH THE SWEETEST BITE COME TOGETHER FOR COSMO

While he’s happy to talk about female grooming, he’s decidedly more guarded about his relationship with 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord, 22. The power couple raced together Sunday in San Juan, Puerto Rico, during the Triathlon for Life benefiting San Jorge Children’s Foundation.

What does he love most about her?

“Strawberries,” he tells me – and considering I repeated the question twice, he knows what I said. “Strawberries are my favorite food and fruit. They’re nice, they’re ripe and they’re tasty.”

Well, OK, then … very clever.

With his 25th birthday approaching on March 15, Kellan must be gunning for a special gift.

“Just to spend it with friends,” he tells me. “You get so busy and you’re always working, that it doesn’t even have to be on my birthday. Just to spend it with my friends.”

What’s the craziest thing Twi-hard fans have done to get his attention?

“Fans are great,” he says. “The most crazy thing is when they rush you or try and tackle you. I don’t mind giving them hugs, but I’m a big guy, and when you see it in their face like they’re going to tackle you like a linebacker, it’s like ‘hey, hey, security … watch out with this one.’ But no, fans have been great. Some bring handcuffs. One literally yanked them out and wanted to take me home. That would’ve been fun, I think.”

So About That Eclipse Trailer….

2010.03.09

The first trailer for Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will come online on Thursday morning at around 6:00 AM PST/9:00 AM EST. The 90-second trailer’s contents are being kept under tight wraps until its debut. In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner reprise their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. The film is directed by David Slade, based on the novel “Eclipse” by Stephenie Meyer, with a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg. The movie hits conventional theaters and IMAX on June 30, 2010.

Robert Pattinson Talks “Remember Me”

2010.03.09

We’re just days away from the nationwide release of “Remember Me,” and Robert Pattinson told press he decided to do the film because he was afraid it wouldn’t get made otherwise.

The “Twilight” stud explained, “It’s so different. It’s difficult to categorize.” Robert likened “Remember Me” to the films from decades past.

“It feels like kind of that, I don’t know, late ‘70s kind of romantic. Like romantic dramas were a little bit deeper than they are now. There are no heroes, there are no villains. Everyone in it is a good person. It’s just sort of a good family trying to deal with tough times.”

As for the insane fan base he’s attracted, Pattinson commented, “(You) don’t know what to say. I hope I can look back on it with very, very fond memories of it, this completely surreal time of my life.”

Justin Bieber Gives Radio Interview, Looks Cute

2010.03.09

The music world’s answer to Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson gave a radio interview with Q102 in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania yesterday.

Justin Bieber met and greeted fans that turned out to see the young star, prior to chatting with deejays about his upcoming album, My World 2.0.

The CD will be released on March 23 and Bieber will support it with his very first headlining tour. In other words: expect to see A LOT of this face over the next few weeks. But that’s not a bad thing, is it?

Emilie de Ravin: LAX Lady

2010.03.09

Heading off to New York City, Emilie de Ravin was spotted catching a plane at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles yesterday (March 8).

The “Lost” babe looked happy as she made her way through the terminal while chatting on her mobile phone and carrying her Louis Vuitton luggage.

In a recent interview, Emilie confessed that she wasn’t sure who her “Remember Me” costar Robert Pattinson was prior to filming the movie.

“I didn’t really know who he was! I’ve never been a tabloid reader or a person who follows what somebody is going to the grocery shop for. The fan base is wonderful. But shooting with Rob in New York was crazy. There were girls climbing all over him, which did make things difficult. He’d been through it all before, but it was very new to me. Because the majority of fans were teenage girls, I felt like: ‘Oh, God, they all hate me!’”
