Collider Interview With Robert for ‘Remember Me’

Last week I got to interview Robert Pattinson for his new movie Remember Me. Since he’s answered every possible question regarding the Twilight franchise and his other upcoming projects, what I decided to do was ask the people who follow me on Twitter to supply me with questions. While I knew I’d get a few things to ask…I was not prepared for the amount of emails and tweets that would be sent my way. I was blown away.

Since so many of you asked about certain things like would he do a commentary on the Remember Me DVD and what was up with his music, I didn’t single out any one person when I asked the questions. Just know I read every single email and tweet you sent in. Saying that, I mentioned who provided me with the first question, and we also talked about what he’d like to do if he had a free day in New York City and will he ever get into social networking. If you’re a fan of Robert Pattinson, I’m confident you’ll like this interview as I made sure to ask a few things that haven’t previously been asked. Robert Pattinson

‘Twilight’ Cast Not Over the Moon on 3-D Films

Anna Kendrick is still undecided whether she’d like to see Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in 3-D, but co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kellan Lutz share her concerns. When it comes to 3-D films in general, these three are still scratching their heads — especially Rob!

“I’m still undecided about 3-D, personally,” Anna told MTV News about whether she’d want to film Breaking Dawn in 3-D. “But obviously they don’t consult me personally on whether or not Breaking Dawn is going to be in 3-D.”

But, Anna isn’t alone in her thinking. Kellan’s not sure some scenes are meant to be seen in 3-D. (WARNING: Breaking Dawn spoiler ahead!)

“3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways,” he said. “Avatar was amazing in 3-D and in IMAX, but I don’t think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D. There’s just some scenes I just wouldn’t want to see in 3-D.”

OK! NEWS: ZAC EFRON THINKS R-PATTZ IS “ABSOLUTELY AMAZING”

Rob can’t wrap his head around the thrill of 3-D.

“The 3-D thing confuses me,” Rob explained. “I haven’t seen Avatar or any of these 3-D movie things yet. The idea of it… I remember 3-D movies from when I was a kid, and I can just picture it giving me a headache.”

J-14 Compares Tyler Hawkins And Edward Cullen

From the first time my eyes saw the words “Edward Cullen” in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight book, it was love at first read. Every line out of his mouth made my heart melt just a little bit more. (It went as far as me forcing my mom to read the books so she could get to know her “future son-in-law” — seriously!)

And when Rob Pattinson was cast to play him in the The Twilight Saga films, my obsession for Team Edward spiked to a whole new level. His brooding looks, those little smiles cracking from the corners of his lips, and the beyond romantic ways he did anything and everything.

So when I first saw the trailers for Rob’s new film, Remember Me (opening March 12), I was fully aware this was no Edward Cullen. And in all honesty, nothing about the preview made me want to see the film. Sure, I’m a sucker for a coming-of-age tale packed with romance, but he just seemed so unrelatable.And then I found out the ending. I won’t spoil it for you guys, but accidentally finding out how it concluded made me need to see the film… right away. And luckily enough, last Monday after covering the red carpet premiere of the film and chatting with all the cast and crew about it, I was able to see it right away. And W-O-W.

Let’s just say, this is one affective film that will stick with you for the rest of your life. But a big part of it is the way that Rob plays the very-human character of Tyler Hawkins.

So I’m officially launching Team Tyler right now… starting with my Top 5 reasons you might just fall in love with Tyler as much as Edward (I won’t go as far as saying more than Tyler…yet…)

1- The lamely adorable way he picks up girls — just wait until you see him work the charm with Ally (Emilie de Ravin).

2- The too-cute way he says, “Abso-freakin’-lutely!” to his little sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins) when she asks if he’ll go to her art show.

3- His heart-wrenching relationship with his deceased older brother… so close that the moment he falls in love, he rushes off to write to him about her at their favorite diner.

4- His determination — he does everything he can to win Ally a gigantic bear at the carnival… and ends up paying for it!

5- The big brother heart that has him carrying a pink sleeping bag, defending her against mean girls, and reading stories about Greek gods to her in bed to make her feel better. Awww!

So get ready to fall in love with another of Rob’s characters (I started way back with Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire!) in a whole new way!

Kellan Talks Bikini Waxes, But Not AnnaLynne

Although Twilight Saga werewolf Taylor Lautner accompanied Kristen Stewart to the Oscars on Sunday, Twilight vampire Kellan Lutz isn’t willing to admit the werewolves are gaining popularity.

When asked whether werewolves are the new vampires during Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Male Awards held recently, the 24-year-old actor who plays Robert Pattinson’s brother in the series cracks jokes.

“Can a werewolf even be a vampire?” he says. “Would that be some crazy hybrid that sucks blood and gets all hairy? That would be interesting. I don’t think I could make a sexual fetish with a big, hairy dog. I don’t think I’d be turned on.”

He adds, “For me, vampires are mysterious in a sexy, dominatrix way. A werewolf? I don’t like when my dog sheds on me – I don’t think I’d like kissing a hairy, mustached girl. Maybe when she’s in her normal form, great, but not like vampires. We don’t transform into a winged beast.”

Hm, does he require Brazillian waxes for the ladies in his life?

“I don’t care what they do,” Kellan says. “I’m more attracted to who they are to be honest. That gets you through the door, seeing the face and being attracted to someone, but I don’t know for you guys, but I usually don’t see everything else until later on. The face is what draws you in, and then you learn who they are. It’s steps. It really doesn’t matter.”

While he’s happy to talk about female grooming, he’s decidedly more guarded about his relationship with 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord, 22. The power couple raced together Sunday in San Juan, Puerto Rico, during the Triathlon for Life benefiting San Jorge Children’s Foundation.

What does he love most about her?

“Strawberries,” he tells me – and considering I repeated the question twice, he knows what I said. “Strawberries are my favorite food and fruit. They’re nice, they’re ripe and they’re tasty.”

Well, OK, then … very clever.

With his 25th birthday approaching on March 15, Kellan must be gunning for a special gift.

“Just to spend it with friends,” he tells me. “You get so busy and you’re always working, that it doesn’t even have to be on my birthday. Just to spend it with my friends.”

What’s the craziest thing Twi-hard fans have done to get his attention?

“Fans are great,” he says. “The most crazy thing is when they rush you or try and tackle you. I don’t mind giving them hugs, but I’m a big guy, and when you see it in their face like they’re going to tackle you like a linebacker, it’s like ‘hey, hey, security … watch out with this one.’ But no, fans have been great. Some bring handcuffs. One literally yanked them out and wanted to take me home. That would’ve been fun, I think.”

So About That Eclipse Trailer….

The first trailer for Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will come online on Thursday morning at around 6:00 AM PST/9:00 AM EST. The 90-second trailer’s contents are being kept under tight wraps until its debut. Prior to this, on Wednesday, March 10 a 10-second teaser of that trailer will come online at about 6:00 AM PST/9:00 AM EST. The full trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse can also be seen in theaters in front of Summit Entertainment’s Remember Me, which also stars Robert Pattinson.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner reprise their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. The film is directed by David Slade, based on the novel “Eclipse” by Stephenie Meyer, with a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg. The movie hits conventional theaters and IMAX on June 30, 2010.

Zac Efron On Robert Pattinson: ‘He’s Absolutely Amazing’

Robert Pattinson reportedly has a man-crush on Zac Efron – and Zac told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on the Oscars red carpet that he’s got strong feelings for his acting colleague, too.

“He’s absolutely amazing,” Zac said. “I think he’s making great choices. I think he’s handling it all really well, but you know, he’s a superstar. He really deserves all this.”

Both stars are known for their hair, and Zac rocked a spiky look himself on the carpet.

“I woke up with it this way,” he said. “Kinda just ran with it.”While the “High School Musical” star may be a teen idol, he said he’s ready for a little adult fun in Las Vegas when girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens heads to Sin City to accept the ShoWest Star of Tomorrow Award.

“She’s trying to get me to go to Vegas,” Zac admitted. “I’ve not been to Vegas legal yet, as a 21-year-old. I feel like I might get into trouble.”
